Lainey Parton wrote a heartfelt Instagram message on Saturday, confirming her aunt’s “lay to rest” Friday, August 28,
Lainey captioned a slide show of photos showing her with family. “I wanted wait until yesterday after my granny’s funeral before I put anything into words.”
Lainey continued to thank Dolly, the singer who was affectionately known to her nieces & nephews as “Aunt Granny”, by pointing out that Dolly was an incredible source of support.
She always made me feel that I was good enough. She never let me think that my dreams were too large or I was incapable of doing something. Lainey writes, “She believed in me even before I knew how to trust myself.
She added, “Most people have at least one negative memory of their entire family.” I honestly cannot think of any bad memories with her.
Lainey, who noted that her aunt couldn’t have children of her own so made her nephews and nieces feel “hers”, said in a heartbreaking way: “It’s still hard to believe that she is gone.” “I’ll miss her laughter, her hugs and her voice.”

Our source confirmed that Bryan [Seaver] (Parton’s niece and the head of security) was responsible for arrangements. She added, “it was an extremely simple ceremony,” because “that was all Dolly desired.”
We’re informed that Parton, who passed away Tuesday, aged 80, after a “brief struggle” with an unspecified form of cancer, was buried next to her husband Carl Dean. They were married for over 58 years until he passed away in March last year at the age of 82.
They met in front of the Wishy Washy Laundromat on the day that Parton, then 18 years old, moved to Music City. Dean was only 21 years old at the time.
According to reports, the Grammy-winning singer was set to be interred in her trademark stilettos and a cotton gown.
Seaver revealed in an Instagram video that Dolly had called him to say she wanted to sleep on a bed made of soft cotton, because after years of wearing heavy rhinestones she finally deserved to feel comfortable.

Howard Stern reportedly has struck a lucrative streaming deal with HBO Max.

Source: “Stern is only doing live shows on Mondays,” the source added. “That’s why this year he’s not starting on the second Tuesday following Labor Day as he normally does.”
This is an extremely strict schedule that he must follow to be allowed to use the video of this show for HBO Max.
Insiders explained that cable giant would “condense the three-hour show of Stern each week into a 90 minute or hour long show, to be aired on the subscription service at a later date in the week.”
This reported deal follows the recent news that Stern’s Howard 101 SiriusXM Channel was dropped following the layoff of a dozen employees earlier in the summer.
A broadcast platform announced that “notable” changes include Andy Cohen’s Radio Andy shifting from channel 101 to channel 102, while Howard 101 is removed from the lineup.
Howard 100 will continue to be on Channel 100.
Page Six reported exclusively that Stern’s program laid off about 12 employees — via Zoom — because it now only has one show per week.
After the phone call, the laid-off employees were immediately sent home and given severance package based on the length of time they had worked for the network.

Stern, who signed with SiriusXM a contract for three years in December 2025, said that it would give him flexibility.
He told his listeners, “I’m happy to report that I found a way to get it all.” He said, “More time to myself and I can continue on the radio.”
The previous contract he had with the network, which lasted five years, was valued at $500 million.
Beth Stern revealed on Andy Cohen’s Sirius program that “his new schedule works out very well.”
Stern was sued by his former assistant earlier this year for creating an allegedly hostile workplace. However, the case was “totally” dismissed by the New York State Supreme Court in July.

Chris Hansen has recently given his reaction to Robert Pattinson’s portrayal of him in A24’s upcoming drama thriller “Primetime,” a film that chronicles Hansen’s tenure as the host of Dateline NBC’s “To Catch a Predator.”
Hansen said to Entertainment Tonight: “I think the trailer is pretty convincing. I mean, he’s obviously been practicing imitating my voice. I find it a bit dramatic but I do think he did a good job.” It’s less about what I think than what others think. You know, I think my family and my wife find it to be a good imitation.
He’s doing and saying things that I’ve never done, and it’s just not me. “I’m nice, but not when dealing with criminals or predators.” he said. I think that people need to remember it’s a fictional work, based only on true events.
Pattinson’s representatives did not respond immediately to an inquiry for comments regarding Hansen’s remarks.
Hansen told Fox News “Jesse Watters Primetime,” that when he went to the A24 office for a screening, they asked him to sign an agreement which would give up several of his rights.
Hansen said that “the lawyers at A24 asked me to sign off on my brand and image, as well any legal rights that could come from the film.” I couldn’t do that so they wouldn’t let me see the movie. “I went over to that place.”
A24’s source said that Hansen had been asked at that time to sign a NDA, which all preview audiences must adhere to.
