‘DWTS’ Pro Announces She’s Missing Disney Night

Week 8 of Dancing With the Stars Season 35 will be taking place on a special night, airing its live episode on Monday, November 2, instead of its usual Tuesday night slot. Unfortunately, one pro dancer will not be in attendance for the broadcast.
Ahead of the episode, Adele Zaikman announced that she is too sick to participate in Monday’s show.
“I’m sadly feeling unwell and won’t be performing in the opening number on Dancing With the Stars tomorrow,” Zaikman shared on her Instagram Story. “I’m so sad to miss a show day, but I’ll be taking this time to take caer of myself. Sending so much love to everyone on that ballroom floor. I’ll be cheering you on from home.”
Disney/Eric McCandless
Zaikman and her celeb partner, Conner Leavitt, were eliminated during the first week of competition, but the eliminated pros are still very much part of every live broadcast. In addition to taking part in the weekly opening numbers, they’re also sometimes utilized as troupe dancers throughout the show.
This was Zaikman’s first season as a DWTS pro. She came to the show as the winner of Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro, but unfortunately, her journey was short-lived. However, she and Leavitt will be back for the Season 35 finale on November 24.
The November 2 episode is a Disney Night theme, with the remaining eight couples dancing to songs from Disney’s Broadway shows. There will also be two team freestyle dances performed, with hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough each joining one team for the numbers. At the end of the night, one more pair will be eliminated.

Nicole Taylor of country music trio Taylor Red dies at 35

Nicole Taylor, a member of the country music trio Taylor Red who was diagnosed with breast cancer four years ago, has died, according to her sisters and bandmates.
She was 35.
“We are shocked and heartbroken to announce the passing of our sister,” Nika Taylor and Natalie Taylor said in a social media post Monday. “She’s at peace and no longer suffering, so we’re thankful for that.”
Originally from Mississippi, the identical triplets first began making music together in 2010 under the name Red Roots before renaming their band Taylor Red eight years later, eventually moving to Nashville, Tennessee.
The country music trio became immensely popular online after their song “Country Money” went viral on social media in 2021. A year later, Nicole Taylor was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.
“I remember we were out in a public place, and she got a phone call from the nurse about her biopsy results,” Natalie Taylor said as part of a 10-minute social media video she did with Nika Taylor, opening up about their sister’s death. “And she was like, ‘You have cancer.’ I remember just breaking down in utter shock.”
“If you know anybody with cancer, there’s so many MRIs, scans, treatments, appointments that you have to go through, and it’s very stressful,” Nika Taylor said in the video.
Nicole Taylor’s cancer eventually progressed to stage 4, the sisters said.
According to the band’s website, Nicole Taylor died Sept. 28 and her family held a private funeral service.
“Nicole told us soon before she passed that she had peace, and we are really thankful for that,” Natalie Taylor said.

‘Frustrated’ Christina Applegate reveals tough new challenge after MS misdiagnosis

Christina Applegate is struggling not to feel like a “fraud” in the wake of her multiple sclerosis misdiagnosis.
When “MeSsy” podcast guest Jack Osbourne confessed to listeners Tuesday that he sometimes feels like “a bit of a fraud” based on the severity of his MS symptoms, the actress quipped, “Talk about being a fraud. I don’t even have it anymore.”
The “Dead to Me” alum, notably, announced last month that she does not have MS, five years after going public with her diagnosis.
Osbourne, 40, assured Applegate she still “qualifies,” with podcast co-host Jamie Lynn Sigler dubbing her an “honorary member.”
Applegate, 54, agreed, “I’ll never leave this community. I’ve made so many lifelong friends. I care so deeply about everybody we represent. I’m still always gonna be a part of it one way or another.”
Earlier in the episode, the Emmy winner noted she has been having a “hard” time “shak[ing] that identity” since it has “been [her] identity for so long.”

She explained, “I lived as a person with MS for almost six years.”
The Golden Globe nominee went on to tell listeners she has “some serious work” to do regarding her mindset and would love to adopt the positive framing with which Osbourne, who was diagnosed in 2012 at 26, views his own MS struggles.
While crediting Sigler with “always uplifting” her when she is “incredibly down,” Applegate declared, “I need to get my s–t together.”
The “Married… With Children” alum also shared that she is “f–king frustrated” while “back at square one” after her misdiagnosis and “doing some testing, going one by one [with] the sister diseases to MS.”
She explained that rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and Lyme’s disease can “kind of mimic MS,” saying, “I’m being tested for those things slowly but surely.”
In her headline-making health update in October, Applegate made it clear she still suffers from debilitating symptoms.
“I haven’t gotten better,” she said. “If anything, I’ve gotten worse. … I still have to use wheelchairs when I go to the doctor’s office. I can’t walk from the car to the room. I’m still in this. Nothing magical happened when she said, ‘You don’t have MS.’ Nothing magical happened.”
The following week, the Tony nominee described the struggles she’s “still living with” — including taking 10 minutes to physically get out of bed.
“I actually timed it today,” Applegate said. “I don’t know what’s going on.”

KJ Biermann, 15, fights all 7 sexual battery charges, argues there’s no proof he used ‘force’ to cause ‘physical injury’

KJ Biermann is challenging all seven felony charges outlined in his indictment, arguing that the accusations do not show he used “force” to cause “physical injury” to his alleged victim.
On Monday, the 15-year-old’s attorney, Jason Sheffield, filed in Fulton County Superior Court a special demurrer to the indictment, objecting to the specificity of the charges.
Sheffield argued that the count of aggravated child molestation “fails to identify the physical injury allegedly resulting from the charged conduct,” noting that the “physical injury element” needs to be present in order to prove the “aggravated” factor.
According to Sheffield, the count of aggravated sexual battery “alleges penetration by the accused’s fingers but fails to identify the occurrence with sufficient particularity to distinguish it from the conduct charged elsewhere in the indictment.”
He went on to challenge the aggravated sodomy charge, too, claiming the accusation that his teenage client committed the alleged conduct “with force” is not identified in the indictment.
“The accused further requests clarification of the allegation that his sex organ was placed ‘into and upon’ the complainant’s mouth, to the extent those terms describe alternative factual acts rather than a single charged occurrence,” Sheffield wrote in the filing.
Biermann was also charged with three counts of sexual battery against a child under 16, but Sheffield argued that the counts are “facially indistinguishable” because “both allege the same offense, involving the same complainant, the same anatomical area, the same date and identical statutory language.”
With regard to the false imprisonment charge, Sheffield argued that the indictment “identifies no conduct by which the alleged detention occurred.”
He went on to request a hearing to discuss the arguments outlined in his demurrer filing and asked that the lead detective in the case testify to answer questions about “the facts and circumstances surrounding the indictment.”
Biermann was arrested in August following an incident from April in which a female classmate – who described herself as his girlfriend’s “best friend” – accused him of sexually assaulting her at a gym in Alpharetta, Georgia.
While in a co-ed sauna, the girl alleged that Biermann – the eldest son of Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann – forced himself on her and attempted “multiple times to have sexual intercourse with her by trying to pull down her pants,” despite her rejections.
She also accused KJ of forcing her to provide oral sex before he digitally penetrated her vagina, claiming that when she “finally managed to get away from him … he pulled up his pants and left.”
The girl was examined at a local hospital the following day, but no evidence of male DNA was found in her mouth or vagina.
KJ – who pleaded not guilty to all seven charges and has continued to maintain his innocence via his attorney and family – spent over a month locked up at a youth detention center in Atlanta and is now confined to his mom’s home.
During his first hearing in the case, prosecutors made the shocking revelation that investigators had discovered footage on KJ’s cellphone that allegedly showed him having sex with a family member under the age of 12.
“The matter arose from inappropriate, crude behavior involving two middle schoolers. It did not result in an adjudication for statutory rape, sexual intercourse or any comparable offense,” Sheffield previously told Page Six regarding that claim, specifically.
Zolciak, 48, and Kroy – who have each moved on romantically amid their contentious divorce – are also parents to son Kash Biermann, 14, and 12-year-old twins Kane and Kaia Biermann.
The retired NFL star, 41, previously adopted the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum’s eldest two daughters: Brielle Biermann, 29, and Ariana Biermann, 24.

Lionsgate Partners With Sony, Destin Daniel Cretton

Lionsgate has partnered with Sony Pictures for its high-profile feature adaptation of Naruto.
The deal, which came after competitive, multi-studio bidding, will see Sony co-finance the movie and take on international distribution of the live-action feature film that is based on the manga by Masashi Kishimoto that grew into a global entertainment brand.
Lionsgate has now officially greenlit the project, which is the follow-up feature for Destin Daniel Cretton, who his coming off the $2.5 billion success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Cretton is writing the script and will direct and produce. Production slated to begin in spring 2027, with Lionsgate continuing to oversee the film’s development and production and handle domestic distribution.
That Sony’s motion picture group, headed by Tom Rothman, would come out on top seems almost pre-ordained. Cretton in September signed a three-year first-look producing deal with the studio, signaling a strong relationship with his Brand New Day partner. And Sony, which is headquartered in Japan, is also the home of Crunchyroll, the popular and arguably largest streaming service that focuses on anime.
“With their deep expertise in manga and anime and global distribution prowess, Sony Pictures is a perfect partner for Naruto, and we’re thrilled to join forces with Tom Rothman and his team to bring this extraordinary property to audiences around the world,” said Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chair Adam Fogelson in a statement. “We share an enormous ambition for Naruto and a commitment to making this a truly global cinematic event that stays true to what millions of existing fans love and invites so many more to embrace what makes it truly special.
Fogelson added, “I’m tremendously proud of Erin Westerman and James Myers for their work developing this film and bringing Destin aboard, and of Helen Lee-Kim for securing Sony as our international partner. Ari Arad, Tetsu Fujimura, and our producing team also deserve huge thanks for their hard work and support.”
Stated Rothman, Sony’s Motion Picture Group CEO and chairman, “Lionsgate has done a masterful job in putting together an A-level adaptation, and we are honored to be chosen as their partner. Not to mention, we had a sweet success this summer with Destin and are delighted to be back in his capable hands.”
Naruto is the coming-of-age story of a young and enthusiastic ninja named Naruto Uzumaki who wants to grow up to be the leader of his ninja village but also happens to have the spirit of a nine-tailed demon fox inside him. The story was serialized in Japan’s popular Weekly Shonen Jump from 1999 to 2014 and later spawned a couple of popular animated series that ran for years on Cartoon Network and Disney XD.
Naruto sits in a rarefied tier of entertainment properties that have achieved an extraordinary global reach, enduring popularity, and cultural impact. Kishimoto’s manga has sold more than 250 million copies across over 60 countries and territories, growing into a multibillion-dollar franchise. The anime adaptation has reached audiences in more than 145 countries and territories.
“As a longtime fan of Naruto, I’ve always loved that beneath the extraordinary action is a story filled with heart, humor, and humanity. Kishimoto-sensei created a world where unlikely heroes do extraordinary things, and that’s what makes it so special,” said Cretton in a statement. “Lionsgate has been an incredible partner, and I’m thrilled to reunite with the fantastic team at Sony. Together, we’re committed to capturing everything fans love about Naruto while introducing it to a whole new generation.”
Avi Arad, Ari Arad and Emmy Yu are producing for Arad Productions. Cretton is producing alongside Jeyun Munford through his company, Hisako.
Charles Melton is the only actor on board to star and is said to be playing Kakashi Hatake, the elite ninja mentor figure to the main character and his friends. The search for the actor to inhabit Naruto is currently underway.
Erin Westerman and James Myers are overseeing the project for Lionsgate.

Kennedy Center Honors 2026

The Kennedy Center honorees for 2026 have been unveiled.
The cultural center on Nov. 2 announced the latest set of artists who are set to receive Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime achievement: Singer and songwriter Paul Anka, composer David Foster, actor Andy Garcia, writer David Mamet and musician Barbara Mandrell will be recognized at the annual ceremony, which is scheduled for December.
The Kennedy Center Honors recognize “individuals whose unique artistic contributions have shaped our world” and who have “had an impact on the rich tapestry of American life and culture through the performing arts.”
“We are recognizing amazing artists whose lifelong work has shaped American culture and inspired generations of audiences,” President Donald Trump said in a statement. “We are proud to honor this year’s class and to continue a tradition that has defined the Center for nearly 50 years.”
George Strait, KISS, Michael Crawford, Gloria Gaynor and Sylvester Stallone were the most recent honorees. They were recognized in a December 2025 ceremony hosted by Trump, who became the first president to emcee the event. The show aired on CBS and Paramount+.
Trump’s actions around the Kennedy Center have drawn controversy and legal challenges since 2025, after the president took over as chair of the board, which voted to rename the institution the “Trump-Kennedy Center.”
In September, the center’s Trump-aligned board voted to close its main building for renovations, but the president threatened to spike the renovations if his name is not added onto the building. A judge previously blocked a board vote to close the center. The legal battle that will determine the Kennedy Center’s future remains ongoing.
The 49th Kennedy Center Honors are scheduled for Dec. 7. The event will not take place at the Kennedy Center, but will instead be held at the Capital One Arena in Washington.
